If the target cannot be identified, the following factors may occur:

1. The target is too small or too deep. To detect deeply buried targets, the sensitivity of the product must be improved.

2. The goal is too big. Some distance is required between the coil and the target.

3. Search coil moving too fast. You can miss the mark.

4. Do not swing the searchcoil like a pendulum. Raising the take-up spool during or at the end of a test will result in inaccurate readings.

Sometimes detection can be limited by certain factors

If your search area is being interfered with by other instruments or cables, TV or radio, reduce the sensitivity or change the current search

area.When searching heavily mineralized areas, the device will emit a tone even if no metal is present. In this case, you can decrease

the sensitivity and increase the height between the searchcoil and the ground until the false signal disappears. If necessary, restart DISC.

When searching trash areas, it is best to set the DISC to 11:00 to allow the device to find most precious metals, such as nails and small debris.

Remove all metal digging tools while you search.

Sensitivity often contradicts sensitivity to discrimination. The higher the sensitivity, the worse the discrimination. However, you can lower the
sensitivity for better discrimination.
